Dupe Prevention

ProtonAuctions is in public beta. See Beta Phase for what is stable and what is still maturing.

Every serious Minecraft economy has died the same way: someone finds a way to duplicate an item, or a stack of money, and within a day the currency is worthless and the server empties out. Stopping that is the single most important job an auction house has, and ProtonAuctions is built around it.

Duping is not held off by one clever trick. It is held off by three layers that each close a different door, with no gap between them to slip through.

Escrow Rollback

Snapshots that make the hand-over safe, or undo it cleanly.

Concurrency Locks

Stopping the two-things-at-once races dupes rely on.

Inventory Simulation

A dry run before delivery, so nothing is ever forced in and lost.
