Training On Your Server
The engine gets sharper by studying your server's own recent sales. It never ships knowing your prices, and it never phones home to learn them. Everything it knows, it learned from you.
It studies while nobody notices
Learning is the heavy part, so the engine saves it for when your server is quiet. By default it works out your calm hours on its own and studies then. It also refuses to start while the server is under load, holding off until things are running smoothly and only a few players are online. The upshot is that your players get the benefit of a learning economy without ever feeling it in their frame rate.
It waits for enough real data
The engine will not learn from thin air. Before it studies, it wants a healthy number of real sales from a healthy number of different players. That second part matters: by insisting the trades come from many independent people, it stops one player, or a group of alt accounts, from quietly teaching it fake prices. Some trades never count at all: sales by banned players, sales in a currency with no exchange rate yet, trades with a server shop and money sent between players.
What it comes away with
Each study session sharpens a few things at once: a better sense of what items are worth, an updated read on which trades look like cheating, and fresh exchange rates if your server runs more than one currency. It all happens deep in the plugin's native core, off to the side of the main game, so the server keeps humming.
When and how the engine studies lives under economyEngine.training in config.yml, including an optional overnight fine-tuner that is off by default.
