Using the Menus
Switching between menus
Each player picks their own menus with /ah menus:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/ah menus pointer | Use the pointer menus. If the resource pack is not loaded yet, the server offers it first. |
/ah menus chest | Use the chest menus. |
/ah menus | Switch to the other one. |
The choice is remembered. Until a player picks, they get the server's defaultMode from config.yml, which is the pointer menus unless you change it. When the pointer menus are off on the server, /ah menus says so. The command needs protonauctions.use, which every player has by default.
Every command that opens a screen opens its pointer version for a player using the pointer menus: /ah, /ah claim, /ah my, /ah search, /ah history and /ah view. Selling straight from /ah sell keeps the chest currency picker when the server has more than one currency.
Controls
With pinnedView on, the default, the view holds still while a menu is open and a cursor follows the mouse. With it off, players aim at the menu by turning their head and stay in place until they close it. Riding or gliding always uses head aim.
- Left click presses a button, opens a listing or picks an item.
- Right click does the second action a hover box names, such as buying straight from the grid, clearing a search or changing the sort order.
- The mouse wheel turns pages, scrolls long lists, and steps an amount such as a bid or a price up and down.
- Sneak closes the menu. Taking damage, or anything opening another inventory, closes it too.
Hovering over anything shows a box with its details and what each click does, including an item's full lore. A shulker box's own page shows what is inside it.
What is on screen
- The side panel holds the categories, and below them My listings and Claims.
- The top bar has search, the Sell button and, with barter on, your trade offers.
- The grid shows the listings as cards, with the page switcher underneath.
- A short message slides in to confirm each purchase, bid, listing or collection, and the full message goes to chat as well.
Sell puts the item in your main hand up for sale. Pick buy now, auction or trade, set the price and how long it runs, and choose the currency when the server has more than one. When the economy engine has a price for the item, the page shows it as a suggestion.
Trades
With Barter on, trades have screens of their own:
- A trade's page shows the item, the seller and what they ask for in return. Make an offer opens a page where you pick the items to offer from your inventory, with a running check against what was asked for.
- A player may make more than one offer on the same trade. While one of theirs is still waiting, the button reads Another offer.
- Your trade offers button lists the offers you are waiting on, and each one can be withdrawn from there.
- On your own trade, the offers waiting for your answer are listed on the left. Pick one to see what is in it, then accept or decline it.
Choosing Trade on the Sell page lists the item in your hand for barter, and the next page lets you pick the items you want back, or take any offer.
