MariaDB is a drop-in replacement for MySQL, and ProtonAuctions treats it exactly the same. If you run MariaDB, you connect to it with the MySQL settings.

Create the database

CREATE DATABASE protonauctions;CREATE USER 'protonuser'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY 'a-strong-password';GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON protonauctions.* TO 'protonuser'@'%';FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

Point ProtonAuctions at it

Use type: mysql in the database block, even though the server is MariaDB. The same driver connects to both:

database: type: mysql address: your-database-host port: 3306 database: protonauctions username: protonuser password: a-strong-password

Everything else works just as it does with MySQL, including sharing one auction house across a network. See MySQL and How To Setup.
