PostgreSQL

PostgreSQL is a full database server ProtonAuctions supports for sharing an auction house across servers, an alternative to MySQL if it is what you already run.

Create the database

On your PostgreSQL server, create the user and a database it owns:

CREATE USER protonuser WITH PASSWORD 'a-strong-password';CREATE DATABASE protonauctions OWNER protonuser;

Making the user the owner is the simplest way to give it everything it needs to create its tables.

Point ProtonAuctions at it

In config.yml, set the database block, with type: postgresql and the PostgreSQL port:

database:  type: postgresql  address: your-database-host  port: 5432  database: protonauctions  username: protonuser  password: a-strong-password

The default port is 5432. Make sure the database accepts connections from each Minecraft server. To share one auction house across a network, follow How To Setup.
