Offers

An offer is a set of items a player puts forward to win a barter listing.

Making an offer

Open a barter listing and offer one or more item stacks for it, with an optional message to the seller. Your offered items are taken into escrow straight away, so the seller knows the offer is real and backed by the goods. A listing can hold several competing offers at once, and a player may make more than one offer on the same listing.

Accepting and rejecting

The seller reviews the offers on a listing and responds to each:

• Accept completes the trade. The seller gets your items, you get the listed item, and every other offer on that listing is automatically handed back.
• Reject turns an offer down, with an optional reason, and returns the items to the player who made it.

Either way, delivered items arrive through the Claim Bin if there is no room in the inventory, so nothing is dropped.

Withdrawing

Changed your mind before the seller responds? Withdraw a pending offer at any time and your items come straight back to you. Offers can also be set to expire on their own, returning the items automatically.

Notifications

Barter keeps everyone in the loop with in-game messages: when an offer is received, accepted, rejected, or expired, and when a listing expires. Each of these can be switched off under barterSettings.notifications in config.yml.
