Beta Pricing

ProtonAuctions is free for the whole public beta. There is no price, no card, and no trial clock. You get the full plugin, and helping find the rough edges now is the point.

What you get

The complete plugin, the same one heading for stable. What is solid and what is still maturing is tracked honestly on Beta Phase. Because the beta runs on the same resource as the stable release, the feedback and reviews you leave now carry over, so nothing you put in during the beta is wasted.

What changes at stable

A beta key unlocks beta builds only, and the free beta is not a permanent version. When the stable release arrives the beta keys are wound down and switched off. When a key is switched off its beta build stops working and the plugin no longer runs on that server. This is the one thing to plan for.

The wind-down is gradual and begins the day stable launches:

• On day one, suspicious keys and dead or inactive servers are ended first.
• From there it moves steadily by server size and activity, and each server keeps getting in-game and console reminders telling it how long is left before its licence ends.
• Most servers are ended within the first ten days.
• The busiest, most active servers are ended last, so they get the most warning, up to around thirty days.

The reminders are there so nobody is caught out. Before your licence ends you have two clean options: pick up a paid Standard or Enterprise licence to carry straight on, or move to a different plugin.

This wind-down applies only to the free beta. A paid Standard or Enterprise licence is never switched off this way. Once you have bought it, it ends only through a refund or a serious breach of the terms.
