Localization
Every message players see is text you can change. Messages live in plugins/ProtonAuctions/translations/en.yml, written out the first time the server starts, and the plugin renders its messages from this file, in English.
- Open
translations/en.ymland edit the text. Messages use MiniMessage formatting for colours and styles. - Some messages include
${...}tokens the plugin fills in, such as a price or a player name. Keep a token where you want that value to appear. - Run
/ahadmin reloadto apply your changes, no restart needed. If the file has a mistake that stops it loading, the messages already in use stay as they were and the reload tells you.
After an update
Your language file is never replaced. When a new version adds messages, they are copied into your existing file at startup, each in its own section, and your own wording is left exactly as it is. The previous file is kept as en.yml.bak, and nothing is written unless every one of your existing lines survives.
A few of the newest messages are not in the file yet and show their built-in English text. They will join the file in a later update.
Edit the copy under plugins/ProtonAuctions/translations/, not the one inside the plugin jar. The data-folder copy is the one the plugin reads.
