This is the main way players meet the engine's pricing: right on the listings while browsing, and as a warning when they price something over the odds. Both compare a listing's price to the engine's market value for that item, shown in the listing's own currency.

Browse badges

While browsing, a listing whose price sits far from market value gets a badge, so buyers can judge a deal at a glance. The gap that counts as far is dealDeviationPercent (default 20%).

BadgeWhen
✔ Great DealThe price is more than 20% below market value.
⚠ OverpricedThe price is more than 20% above market value.

A listing inside the band gets no badge, and each badge also shows the market value it compared against. For a stack, the badge judges the price per item against the per-item market value, and the market value shown is for the whole stack. A bid auction is judged by its current bid. Badges appear only when showPricesInBrowse is on and the engine is active, and never on barter listings or on listings in a currency that has no exchange rate yet.

Sell-time warning

When a player prices an item well above its market value with /ah sell, they get a heads-up before it goes live: a warning that their price is a set percentage over the market average, and a tip that a lower price sells faster. The threshold is sellWarningPercent (default 50%), set higher than the browse badge so only clearly-overpriced listings trigger it. For a stack, the warning compares the price per item, so a fairly priced stack is not flagged.

The warning is advice only. It never blocks the listing and never changes the price.

Both thresholds and the browse toggle live under economyEngine.suggestions in config.yml. Market value is shown in each listing's currency, converted using your exchange rates. How sure the engine has to be before any of this shows is covered in Confidence.
