Honest answers about the economy engine, including the sceptical ones. If you are wondering whether the machine-learning part is real or just a sticker on the box, start here.

Is the ML real, or is it marketing?

It is real. There is an actual pooled pricing model, a sequence model for busy items, and native fraud models that learn from your trades. But it is not magic. It learns only from what happens on your server, so on a brand-new or very quiet server it will often have nothing confident to say yet. It earns its keep as your market gives it data.

Will it change my economy, or set prices for me?

No. The engine suggests, it never sets. It offers a price when a player asks, and it flags trades that look wrong for your staff to review. It never forces a price, moves an item, or punishes a player on its own. You stay in control of your economy.

How accurate is it?

It is as good as the data you give it. With plenty of real trades across many players its suggestions are sharp, and with thin or noisy data it says so, lowers its confidence, and often stays quiet rather than guess. It tells you how sure it is rather than hiding it.

Can I just turn it off?

Yes, entirely, with economyEngine.enabled: false in config.yml. It is on by default only because it costs you nothing until it has something useful to offer. It collects quietly and speaks up when it can help.
