Every paid licence comes with one year of updates and support. When that year is up, renewing is how you keep receiving new builds and support for another year. It is optional, and you are never locked out of the version you already have.

When to renew

Your update window runs for one year from purchase. You can renew at any time to extend it by another year. Renewing while your window is still open simply adds a year on top.

How to renew

Renewals are handled through the ProtonAuctions resource page on BuiltByBit, the same place you bought the licence. All payments stay on BuiltByBit, so there is no separate site to visit and nothing to set up.

If you choose not to renew

Nothing is taken away. You keep the last version you downloaded and it stays yours. What ends is access to newer versions and to support, until you renew again. See What You Pay for how the cost differs between renewing on time and coming back after a lapse.

Renewal is only about updates and support. It is never a switch that turns the plugin off. A paid licence keeps working, and only a refund or a serious breach of the terms ends it.
