Is there an API I can code against?

Not during the beta. There are no third-party events and no supported public methods. See Status for the full picture.

Can I listen for auction or barter events?

Not from another plugin yet. ProtonAuctions has its own events, but they run on the framework's private event bus rather than the Bukkit event system, and the shipped jar is obfuscated, so its classes are not a stable target. Bukkit-level events are one of the directions on the Roadmap.

How do I read auction data from my own plugin?

There is no supported code API yet. To show figures in a menu or on a scoreboard, use the PlaceholderAPI placeholders, which cover a player's sales and claims, the market, item values and top lists. See Placeholders.

My economy or shop plugin is not supported. What do I do?

Request a hook. The engine learns from other plugins through data hooks, and adding one is how a new plugin gets wired in, rather than you coding against ProtonAuctions. See Requesting Hooks and the current list in Supported Plugins.

Can I use my own currency?

Yes, and it needs no code. Any Vault economy, PlayerPoints, TokenManager, Eco, the currencies of CoinsEngine, ExcellentEconomy, GemsEconomy, EcoBits, X-Prison and zEssentials, or a PlaceholderAPI-backed balance can be a tradable currency. See Currencies and Custom Currencies.

Will there be a public API later?

Possibly, driven by demand and once the core is settled. Nothing is promised and there is no date. The Roadmap has the current thinking.
