Overview
ProtonAuctions is an auction house for Paper and Folia servers, built around a native transaction core and a self-learning economy engine. It handles the ordinary auction house jobs, listing, bidding and buying, and adds two things most auction plugins do not have: an engine that learns your server's own prices, and item-for-item barter with escrow.
What it does
Players hold an item and run /ah sell to list it, browse and buy from /ah, and collect payouts and won items from a claim bin. A seller can list for a fixed price, run a timed auction with bidding, or set a buyout. See Buying & Selling.
Every money-moving step runs inside a native Rust core, so the currency and the item change hands together in one atomic step. A sale either completes in full or does not happen at all, which is how it avoids half-finished trades and duplicated items. See Architecture.
What makes it different
- A learning economy engine. It records your server's completed sales and, once it has enough history, suggests a fair price when a player lists an item. It also flags wash trading and other manipulation for your staff. The engine learns from your own server's trades, and nothing is pre-loaded. See Economy Engine.
- Item-for-item barter. Players trade items directly, with no currency involved, and both sides are held in escrow until the deal resolves. See Barter.
- Real multi-currency. Auctions can run in more than one currency, with exchange rates you set or that the engine learns from trades. See Currencies.
- Built for networks. A shared database and optional Redis keep listings in sync across a whole network. See Cross-Server Sync.
Who it is for
It runs on a single server on SQLite with no setup, and scales up to a multi-server network on MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL, with Redis for live updates. If you want an auction house that also understands and protects your economy, rather than only moving items, this is aimed at you.
